Biography

Tom Davies is a guitarist/singer-songwriter from Hampshire and is the leader of Tom Davies & The Bluebirds.

The band was formed in 2019 with the current line-up coming together in early 2023.

Tom & the band opened for Eric Bell (ex Thin Lizzy) at the Belfast Empire in 2022.

They are a 3 piece blues/blues rock power trio with Si Davis on bass and Gary Lyons on drums.

This emerging band now regularly feature on the UK blues club scene with Tom’s captivating solos entrancing audiences.

The band are continuing to make their mark across the country.

They have performed at numerous UK festivals including twice at Ballyshannon Rhythm & Blues Festival in Eire and are performing at Buxton Blues festival summer 2025.

They have recently released their first EP ‘Devil’s Highwater’ which by coincidence references ‘The Riverside’ a Rhythm & Blues club in Kent.

Backline:

The band will provide their own specific bass and guitar amplifiers for each performance.

Where this is not possible then suitable equivalents should be provided.

Vocals: 2 x Shure SM58 or equivalent and 2 x full size stands, one for lead vocals one for the drummer.

Lead Guitar: 1 x Shure SM 57 or equivalent.

Bass Guitar: post EQ DI from amp or DI out via Sansamp.

Drums: Mics suitable for the entire kit plus overheads. Where a drum kit is provided consideration will need to be made for the size of the kit (our drummer is tall). He will provide breakables and his own drum stool.

Monitoring

3 x monitors are required. Monitor mixes tbc at a soundcheck.

Power

3 x power outlets for each musician at their stage positions.
